...Yesterday, of course, was the birthday of Guantamo Bay prison. It is six years old, and there were many protest celebrations going on all over the world. As we all know, there have been horrific forms of torture and all sorts of other great acts of cruelty happening there. Many of Zubek's sensory depravation torture techniques have been tested and improved upon. Leave it to America to be so creative about cruelty.

Oddly, I am finding paralell in the book, "Culloden." I have read through the horrors of the battle and am now in the wonders and terrors that happened afterward. No wonder so many Brits Loved the shit out of Adolf prior to him bombing the shit out of their nation that is. I'm sure many still did after that, making much money in the process, just like the wealthy in this nation. Anyway...the prisons of Inverness after Culloden were absolutely horrific. The descriptions are enough to sicken the hardest soul. The dead being left in cells until their are around a dozen. The beggars being forced at bayonette point to drag them off and bury them. The stench. The moans of the wounded and dying. Laying and living for months in their own filth. The innocents being arrested along with with guilty, as it were. Amazing.

Some shit just doesn't change.
