SHOCKING

Yesterday in sociology class, my teacher taught us about the "Shock Doctrine," a term coined by Naomi Klein. It is in reference to good old shock treatment used in "curing" mental illness. Of course, whether or not these folks were actually mentally ill or just didn't follow U.S. society's genocidal norms is in question at best. But this asshole named Milton Friedman latched onto these theories and helped create the free market system. You see, by shocking a populace with some sort of...say...terrorist activity, like...say...flying a couple of planes into the wtc's and pentagon, and taking that shock of the populace and introducing legislation into the severely corrupt U.S. government so that the folks will fall under increasing control. They would then propagandize this control as "freedom," the the folks will be lulled into sleep as their alleged "freedom" increasingly gets crushed by the powers that be. Then, the legislation get pushed through that benefits greatly coporations and their bottom line while the people suffer but lay awash in their allegations of freedom. ...Make sense?
