Sometimes I'm Glad I Don't Own a Gun!
Here is a wonderful story from Al Jazeera English about a 10-year-old Aboriginal girl that was gang raped. This case was presided over by
who got all 9 perpetrators who PLEADED GUILTY released because, as these two complicit folks in child rape who presided over the case stated...IT WAS PROBABLY CONSENTUAL by the 10-year-old girl.
DID YOU HEAR THAT ALL YOU CHILD RAPISTS IN CHURCHES, SCHOOLS, THE UN, IN THE U.S. GOVERNMENT, all you have to do is portray your VICTIM as having had consentual sex with you and POOF! you can RAPE any child you want.
Sometimes, I'm glad I don't own a gun.
BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE!
From an article on Common Dreams:
"Jamie Leigh Jones, now 22, says that after she was raped by multiple men at a KBR camp in the Green Zone, the company put her under guard in a shipping container with a bed and warned her that if she left Iraq for medical treatment, she’d be out of a job."
That's right, folks, KING DICK's former company, HALLIBURTON, from which Kellog Brown and Root are a subsidiary of, likes raping women.
So, here is another way for folks to get away with rape. BECOME A MULTI-NATIONAL CORPORATION SO YOU CAN CONTROL THE INVESTIGATION!
So you see folks, this nation seems to think little of women and children. Seems that all nation states think little of women and children ESPECIALLY when they ALLOW the raping of women and children like the UNITED STATES, AUSTRALIAN, AND CANADIAN GOVERNMENT enjoy.
And what are you all gonna do about it? Oh, probably the usual, right? Sit around and let it continue without even a fucking word, just like the absurd marijuana laws that put pot smokers, NOT RAPISTS OF WOMEN AND CHILDREN behind bars. Yeah, you all got your priorities straight.
Here's a good excuse for all you complicit in rape type of folks: After Abeer Quasim al-Janabi was raped by 3 or more U.S. military personell at the age of 13, and her and her whole family murdered, I Loved what the shit face complicit U.S. military personell used to tell us about the incident at the recruiting station on 13th and NE Broadway in Portland, Oregon. "It was an isolated incident." Yeah! There's one for you all. Use that! Then go home and watch an episode of "24" that glorifies a different kind of rape.

Happy 59th Birtday Universal Declaration of Human Rights
The Universal Declaration of Human Rights turns 59 today. That wonderful document (some of which I'd change and or add on to, myself) many nation states tout but violate CONSTANTLY.
Here are a couple of my favorite articles that the United States constantly violates.
Happy Birthday Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
Article 9.
No one shall be subjected to arbitrary arrest, detention or exile.
Article 23.
(1) Everyone has the right to work, to free choice of employment, to just and favourable conditions of work and to protection against unemployment.
(2) Everyone, without any discrimination, has the right to equal pay for equal work.
(3) Everyone who works has the right to just and favourable remuneration ensuring for himself and his family an existence worthy of human dignity, and supplemented, if necessary, by other means of social protection.
(4) Everyone has the right to form and to join trade unions for the protection of his interests.

Where are the Revolutionaries?
Shusli wrote an excellent post on her blog about pharmaceuticals and marijuana. If you click on the photo, you will be sent to her post.
My post was a discussion Shusli and I had last night and a comment I wanted to post on her blog, but it would be rather long.
Shusli also posted a similar statement on the Derrick Jensen forum and her writing was flagged as controversial in content.
What Shusli and I discussed last night was, "Where are the Revolutionaries?"
Here are some statistics I gleaned from Mamas.org (Mothers Against Misuse and Abuse). They also supply you with the resources they used to get these statistics. Illegal drugs and over the counter drugs account for 17,000 deaths in the U.S. annually. Alcohol kills 101,000 folks annually. Tobacco kills 435,000 annually. Adverse reactions to propertly perscribed drugs kills 106,000 U.S. citizens annually. Using marijuana has yet to kill anybody anywhere in the world, and even if using marijuana has killed someone somewhere, compare the statistics.
Marijuana is a dangerous subject that many Revolutionaries are afraid to talk about more so than say...blowing up dams. It is a subject barely talked about in public forums because of a great fear of repercussions that could be suffered at the hands of the U.S. government. There seems to be a disconnect here.
Marijuana is illegal because of the paper industry and race hate of Mexicans and Blacks as well as hatred towards "jazz musicians." It isn't because marijuana is unhealthy. In fact, until the work of Harry Anschlinger and Bill Hurst, Marijuana was actually used in many medicines.
There is a great lie right in front of your face, and there are a handful of folks that are willing to talk about it, but a VAST majority of users and non-users who are absolutely terrified to discuss this subject, even those who are Revolutionaries. The U.S. has lied to you about this plant and will deal out many forms of corporal punishment to you should you make the choice not to believe their vast lie. And if the U.S. is willing to lie and deliver punishement for not believing their lie (6 folks are doing life sentences for crimes around MJ and one had none in his posession nor was he growing any, housed in Texas, of course). You don't believe this lie and you will be punished. And it is being FORCED by the land of the free upon the whole world.
Saul Williams says in a song that he was in Belize and the folks he was hanging with were out of papers. A Rasta pulls out his bible and starts reading the first page of Genesis. They all listened intently as he read aloud. When he was done, he tore the page from the bible and rolled "the biggest spliff I had ever seen." And there in, Saul saw the power of words. "In the beginning was the word. First God said it, and then it was."
Here are a few words for you to chew on:
Marijuana is healthy. Marijuana doesn't kill. The things that do kill are illegal. You can be punished in the alleged land of the free for even talking about marijuana being healthy in a public forum.
Marijuana is illegal so it can be used as a tool to control the populace, one of many. It has nothing to do with health issues. But it is a subject most folks will fall right into line on with fear and without question.
So don't forget, puff on that cigarette, drink some booze, take the doctors medicine, take your over the counters, but don't you dare reach for that bong!

Mutha Luv
I went to kindergarten and Woodlawn Elementary school. I had a crush on a fellow kindergartner who invited me to her home just across the field one day.
I lied to her and her mom and said my mother had given me permission.
I barely remember the playing we did and barely remember how she looked, but what followed I will never forget.
About half an hour later, I start walking across the field to head home. My mother was walking toward me and didn't look happy. After many "I'm sorry"'s, she reached me, yanked me up by the arm and beat my ass for scaring the living shit out of her by not coming home after school like I usually did. This was, pretty much, the only real expression of Love and affection from my mother that I have ever received.
My mother always wanted a boy child. She was disappointed when she had my first sister, but she Loved her immediately. When my second sister was born, mom was so fucking pissed that she literally had nothing to do with my sister Liz for the first two weeks of her life before she came to her senses and realized that this was a life she was responsible for taking care of. I don't know what she thought when my third sister was born. But she told me that she did things different when it came to having me.
She had a longer waiting period before she got pregnant and made sure I'd be born in winter instead of summer like my sisters.
But being born with a penis didn't amount to much considering whatever dreams she may of had of how I would somehow save her world.
I can only speculate, because my mother is not one known for telling the truth, but I often believe that at some point early in my life that she thought, "Oh great! I just gave birth to another alcoholic Indian." Given the patterns of my mother's racism and her racist family, I believe that that is not far from the truth.
I read several Rudofo Anaya mystery novels whose titles I forget, but the stories and characters I remember. Sonny Vaca, the main character, Loved his mother a lot. When he found out his mother had a new boyfriend, he became jealous. He knew it was a silly jealousy like that of a child who lost his father and then finds out a few years later that his mother has started seeing someone else and will be taking some of his mother's attention away from him. I was jealous of Sonny because I feel virtually nothing for my mother.
I will spare you the details of the perpetual SCREAMING arguments that happened between my parents about the last 5 years of my father's life, but just know that they about drove me insane. All my sisters had left and I was left alone, trapped, with these two crazy mutha fuckas. When I was alone with my father, we expressed a healthy Love between parent and child even when he was drinking. When I was alone with my mother, emptiness, coldness, silence, nothingness. She barely cuddled me. She took almost NO interest in my life.
About a year after my father died, my mother went through a series of boyfriends. During this time, she was barely home. I was paying half of the rent, so I kinda claimed the house as my own. She finally met the shit face heatless fuck that she was gonna marry and he moved in. I was still at home at 21, and I probably should have been out on my own. But, before my mother kicked me out for refusing to STILL pay half the rent went that fuck head that wound up emotionally and psychologically abusing her moved in, she had to give me one last gift of her totally emotional detatchment to me:
"When I die," she said, "I'm gonna make sure you kids don't get this house for free. I'm gonna make sure you have to pay for it." You see, my mother did Love something. She Loved money. A clear and consistent pattern with her. I could go in at length about her money Love history, but won't here. And me, this boy she had wanted all those years ago...please! Just another red nigga whose probably gonna turn into an alcoholic and not make her any susbstantial amounts of money, just like my dad.
"I don't want your house," I told her.
As human beings, we all follow patterns in this world. Some are not so healthy.
My first wife: cold, distant, little good to say about me, little Love and affection for me, Loved my paycheck more than me, etc. Does this sound similar to my mother? Not a good healthy pattern that I chose for myself.
My second wife: EXTREMELY verbally abusive, beat me once, had nothing good to say about me, often gave verbal threats in my general direction. Does this sound similar to my mother?
After the second wife I realized I had to deal with some shit before I got into another relationship. I found good healthy friendships and folks that helped me out along the way. It was a good road and a rough road, but I knew I was following certain patterns and I'd be damned if I was gonna do that again.
Along comes Rhonda, now Shusli, and I am in the relationship I've always dreamed of. But, before it became as good as it is now, we both had to deal with certain patterns that weren't healthy. Now we are in a great, healthy, Loving relationship and we fall more in Love with each other everyday. I can change my patterns. We can change our patterns. ALL OF US CAN CHANGE OUR PATTERNS!
My sister Roxanna is the only relative I have that I keep in regular contact with, though not often enough. She is the youngest of my three older sisters and used to change my diapers when I was a baby. She was the only one of my three sisters that ever spent a whole lotta time with me and we played together and had fun.
Rox has borrowed money often from my bitch mother and my mother's bitch mother. My mother, more well off now and married to a nice man (so I'm told and the few times I met him, he seems to be) this time, will always dig on my sister for the money she owes the fucking bitch no matter HOW HARD MY SISTER IS HAVING IT! She has also borrowed money from my mother's mother and gets the same treatment. The white grandkids and neices and nephews don't get treated this way and often times don't even have to pay back the money. But we're red niggers, and that is different.
Anyway, my sister and I were discussing this one time and I told her she should tell our mother to fuck-off.
I got to thinking, and then told my sister this: "You know, if you called me and told me that our mother or grandmother had died, I probably wouldn't care. I don't think I would cry, and I DEFINITELY wouldn't be going to their funerals." I'd wake up in the morning and it would be just another day without my mother or grandmother. Ain't nothin' unusual in that.
By the way, my grandmother lives just 8 blocks from where Shusli and I live right now. I have not been in her house in at least 8 years. The last time we saw each other, this last summer, she told me to come visit. To me, knowing my family, it is a polite invitation given to someone you know you have a connection with but would rather not. My family makes no attempt to get a hold of me, and I make no attempt to get a hold of them, other than my sister Roxanna.
Here's a funny not-so-funny: my grandmother, now in her 90's, sits alone in that house in North Portland and has about $2,000,000 in the bank. I've heard that her kids, grandkids, etc., are hovering over her waiting for her to die so they can all get a piece of that pie. Rox tells me that when grandma goes out with her family, she conveniently forgets to bring any money or doesn't have enough and one of those folks who want a piece of that pie make an investment in grandma's meal in hopes of garnering good attention to be in that will.
I've told friends about this, and they have wanted me to invite my mother and grandmother and get close to them and maybe get some of that money. I was and am not interested. When they die, they can take that fucking money with them as much as they Love the shit. I can live without theirs, I make my own. Besides, I'd probably only get a pair of socks like she used to give me at Christmas. They can take their money and shove it right into their caskets with them.
By the way, when Felicia sees my mother (probably a half a dozen times in her lifetime, I'm not kidding), she has a hard time remembering who she is or how we are connected to her.
I have a friend who is Finnish. One day she told me this, and I told her I was Finnish, too. We had a good laugh. We hug everytime we see each other, but her and her husband had moved away a couple of years ago.
"Finns are not known for being emotional," she told me one day. Considering I get my Finn ancestry from my mother, this made sense.
"Anthony comes from an Italian family," she tells me of her husband. "When I first met his family, his mother came up and gave me a big hug. I didn't know what to do. I just stood there shocked with my hands to my side. Italians are very physically affectionate people. I got used to it and learned to enjoy it and now I give everyone I Love hugs." I opened my arms wide. She smiled and gave me a big hug.
It makes me sad to think about, but when I think about my mother and grandmother dying, I feel almost nothing. I really don't think I will cry. I definitely know I will not be going to their funerals. Maybe that's just the Finn in me?
I wrote this because I never write about my mother and figured that maybe I should, since I have one.
PS Like my father gave me lots of physical attention, I give Felicia lots of physical attention and let her know I Love her every time we are together. If her mother is consistent with her patterns (and I have no reason to believe otherwise), then Felicia isn't getting a lot of hugs and cuddling at home. I want Felicia to know that human contact is important and I want her to feel Loved and know she is Loved. With Shusli and I, we try to model a healthy relastionship to her so she can carry that knowledge with her into her adult life experience.
Love is very important! Don't ever forget that!

U.S. Still Looking to Slaughter Iranians

The U.S. is still looking to slaughter millions of Iranians and any excuse will do [click on photo for whole story].
Robert Gates has stated that Iran is a threat to all of the Middle East (it's no longer their non-existent nuclear weapons program). In other words, King
Dick and co-King George are not about to stop their illegal genocidal plans to slaughter Iranians. Of course, they are too chickenshit to do the actual killing themselves. They'll pay the U.S. military and mercenaries to do their dirty work for them. No doubt the slaughter will begin before they leave office or permanently steal it.
Commond Dreams article addition to this post, 12-9-07. Pentagon states it is still continuing with its plans to attack Iran.

Game 1 of the "GLOOM AND DOOM DOUBLE HEADER" Was a Success!

On"Mitakuye Oyason" on KBOO yesterday, we talked with Jim
Craven, Economics Department head at Clark College and Blackfoot Solicitor General to the traditional government. In Game 1 of the "GLOOM AND DOOM DOUBLE HEADER!" we discussed the current U.S. and global economic conditions and the impending economic collapse of the U.S. and how it may possibly effect the world and possible outcomes and what we could do about it.
Jim made it clear that there is no real way of telling what the collapse will bring or when it will happen hard-core. "There are many variables and lots of different pockets," Jim said when asked what might happen. Some communities may be fine, others may face starvation, but it is hard to tell because the U.S. economy is so vast.
Jim made it clear that if we want to do anything about this insanity, we'll have to lock arms beyond our identity politics and take in the whole picture. Community may be an answer in helping the world as well as ourselves and our friends and family.
The last question I asked Jim, and one that has been troubling me quite a bit, is this:
There was an economic collapse in Germany after WWII. The Nazi's created a new Mark and had it supported by the wealthy class of the world which allowed him to impose a fascist state in Germany that lead to the genocide of millions of Jews, Sinti, Roma, etc. I asked: "Do you think the U.S. is orchestrating this economic collapse in order to impose a fascist state upon this nation?"
"Oh Yeah! I've seen their plans." He went on to explain how that is what they want to do in order to control the wealth of the world...
I have only one thing to say to you folks...

A Tribute to an Author I Didn't Know Until About a Week Ago

Until a week ago, I had never even heard her name. There were announcements on KBOO about upcoming radio memorials to honor Grace Paley, a short story writer, actist, and mother known for giving voice to the Jewish community of New York.
Last night, "Circle A Radio" on KBOO played their memorial to this wonderful woman who passed away in August at the age of 84. I listened to her voice. I listened to the voices she gave the characters in her stories. She was an amazing writer.
Grace talked of a conversation she had with her father, which sent me into a fantasy conversation with mine. My mind wanders to writing a fictional story of a dream I have of having a conversation with my father. I think of the discussion so strongly that I didn't hear the beginning of a story Grace starts to tell.
She tells a story of her arrest, and since I didn't hear the beginning of the story, I don't know why she was arrested, but she was in jail. The jail, it turns out, was just around the corner from her house. Grace talked about how she could see her kids going off to school. How folks would walk by and say "good morning" to her as she waited in jail.
My father used to tell me a jail story about his father. My grandfather, Louis Johnson, was arrested for public drunkeness or something like that. He spent the weekend in jail, and in the process, my grandmother would pass him whiskey through the bars. My dad told me what the judge had to say when grandpa had his hearing: "I don't know how you did it, Louis, but you are drunker now than when you were arrested."
My dad, also named Louis, would laugh after he told this story. And he would usually tell this story after he had drunk three quarts of Blitz Weinhard beer (3 for breakfast, 3 for lunch, 3 for dinner). I found out later in life he was also hiding whiskey in the garage. I guess it was a way of medicating his pain for the mistake of staying with my mother instead of taking responsibility for his actions and just leaving when he knew for sure they would never be happy together. Maybe he stayed for his kids? I would have rather he left and probably lived.
I got to watch my father committing a slow suicide. Maybe he was too lazy, too tired, too scared, to load a round into the .284 Winchester/Savage that he had gotten many deer for us with, put it into his mouth, and pull the trigger. But what's done is done.
No one had to tell me he was dying when he started the fast track to his death. I was 14, watching TV in the living room as he slept passed on the couch. He suddenly sits up and starts vommitting blood all over. I stood up from my place in my father's favorite chair as my father luanched himself from the couch and headed down the hallway to the bathroom vomitting masses of blood, more blood than I knew could be held into a humans body. The horrible sounds of my father dying I seem to have erased from my mind all these years later. When he was done, he walked to his bedroom, a place he hadn't slept in in years, his Love for my mother being long gone...and laid down to die. He didn't have to tell me what he was doing, I knew.
Many parts of that event have been erased from my memory, almost as soon as they happened. Suddenly my mother is there, just there. She is screaming and crying and trying to get my stubborn ass father up to go to the hospital. Then two of my three sisters are there and they are all in the bedroom screaming and crying trying to get my stubborn father up to go to the hospital. Then my oldest sister, Ferrol, shows up. I watch down the hallway through the open door at the end as the four women work over my father to try to get him to get up. Suddenly, my frantic sister Ferrol starts screaming, "GET UP! GET UP! GET UP!" while simultaneously beating my father, who remembers his Love for his kids, and gets his drunken dying ass off his bed.
The four women whisk him by me and my mother asks, "do you want to come with?"
"No," I tell her. "I'll stay here and clean this up." I realize that I had been standing in the same place since it began. I hadn't moved, and little pieces of the memory were already gone. Not the pieces I wished were gone, but the pieces like; where'd my mother come from, when did my first two sisters show up... Not the stuff I wished I could forget, like cleaning up blood for four hours.
My father, Louis Wilbur Johnson, did not die that day. Then it was like waiting in a line at Disneyland with your best friend. You wait and wait and wait...move a little forward, and wait some more.
I would come home during my long lunch periods from Aloha High School and watch "Perry Mason" with my father everyday at noon. We would cheer like it was a football game and act like we hadn't seen each episode ever before. We had a good time hanging out together in my fathers last days which he spent sober. This went on for a couple of years.
Sometimes when I would come home, my father wouldn't be there. "Is he in the hospital? Is he dead? Is he at the store? Is he at the beach watching whales?" If he wasn't in the hospital, after he would show up I would give him a lecture about leaving me a note. Of course, he never did.
My sister Roxanna tells me a story of a few weeks before our fathers death, she was alone in the hospital room with her.
"Close the curtains," he asks of her.
"Why?" she asks confused.
"Close the curtains," he asks again.
Roxanna starts to panic. "Why?" she asks again.
"CLOSE THE CURTAINS!" our father screams.
Crying and panicky Roxanna gets up quickly and closes the curtains.
"Why'd you want me to close the curtains?" she asks my father through her tears.
"They were coming to take me away," he explains to her.
We finally get to the ride from our long line at Disneyland, but there is only room for one more, and it is the last ride of the day. I watch my father get on. We wave at each other as the chain moves the cars forward on the track, and he is gone...
I have never heard of Grace Paley before until this last week with the announcments to the memorials being done for her on KBOO. The two shows I listened to played Grace reading a short story called "Life." It is a story of a woman who calls her friend and tells her she has cancer and is dying. The character dies a few weeks after Christmas.
My father, Louis Wilbur Johnson, one of the most Loving men one could ever meet, as well as an alcoholic chain smoker until the last two years of his life, passed away on New Years Eve, 1981, a few weeks shy of my 18th birthday. He was 48 years old.

News I Listened to and Read this Morning
Lou Dobbs was on Democracy Now yesterday. Like all right wing pundits, his best arguments against his RACIST anti-immigration alleged reporting on his show on CNN, arguing, mis-directing, and mis-informing. I believe folks like this guy get trained to use this type of tactic. I have never heard of this piece of sh** before this report. Propagandist!
Co-King George still wants to slaughter Iranians in order to slaughter Iranians even though the NIE report stated that the Iranians haven't been pursuing nuclear weapons for four years, contradicting their alleged report from two years ago that said they were. Co-King George has stated that Iran still remains a danger and they are still going to pursue slaughtering as many Iranians as possible for the U.S. empire.
One of five kidnapped Brits in Iraq had a video statement released demanding that the UK withdraw from Iraq in 10 days. The consequences of not doing this were not listed. He also stated that it was November 18. He was also upset that they have been basically forgotten.

Chavez Loses Vote
As much as I like Chavez, I sure didn't like the sound of the vote that happened yesterday. Chavez conceded defeat on the issues he brought forth including his bid to run for office indefinitely. [click on the photo to read the English Al Jazeera article]. His speeches on the subject had a "you're either for us or against us" insinuation to them. However, there were a lot of good things in his attempt at constitutional changes as well, which is what I believe he had hoped would get those on the fence to vote for the plan.
He is still popular, he is still one of a small group who is willing to stand up to the dictators, King Dick and co-King George. Many blessings to you and the people of Venezuela, Hugo.

Pay Attention Here, Folks
Iowa court rules law defining Indian children is too broad
|
Associated Press - November 30, 2007 11:44 AM ET
DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) - The Iowa Supreme Court ruled Friday a state law defining who qualifies as an Indian child violates federal and state constitutions.
The court, in ruling whether the Winnebago Tribe of Nebraska may intervene in the parental custody case of 2 children, concluded a 2003 state law exceeded the limits of governmental power in Indian affairs. The law includes the definition of Indian children as those of mixed blood who are not eligible for tribal membership, exceeding the limits of governmental power in Indian affairs.
The court says Iowa and Washington are the only states with broader definitions of Indian child than the federal government.
The court says Iowa's overinclusive law amounts to a racial classification that violates the 14th Amendment's equal protection clause and the Iowa Constitution's similar protections.
[No doubt there is much more to the details of this case, however, I would like to point out a few things here. This is a legalized act of gencoide, specifically, forcible transferral of children from one group another.
The reason the Indian Child Welfare Act was put into place was because the U.S. was kidnapping Indian children and forcing them into boarding schools where they beaten, systematically raped, tortured, imprisoned, and often murdered for things like...speaking their own language. ICWA was put in place as an attempt to use the system to stop the U.S. governments continued genocide against indgenous peoples. Indian children were often adopted to non-indian folks in order to systematically de-Indianize these children. Children were often beaten, raped, tortured and otherwise abused in these adoptive situations as well. I have a friend who was adopted to white folks and was repeatedly raped by her adopted brother and often held in prison via a closet for days at times. That is why ICWA has been put in place, to protect indigenous children from the continued U.S. systematic genocide.
Now this leads to how are Indians defined. Indians, unlike Americans, are NOT ALLOWED to define who is and isn't Indian. The states and the U.S. government have given themselves that "problem to be solved." This is a direct challenge to sovereignty. The U.S. will intervene on certain cases of identity but not on others. It all depends on how it is convenient to them. In this case, it is convenient to the U.S. to decide who is and isn't Indian, because if Indians are allowed that authority, the U.S. couldn't dominate them and discriminate, nor continue using its kinder/gentler hand of genocide against indigenous peoples. Why does the U.S. want to continue the genocide against indigenous folks? Let's see....
Indigenous folks are the true property owners of all of this land. All the resources that have been stolen to create great wealth for the already wealthy were stolen from Indian lands. Trading in stolen properties is a crime. And since the U.S. is an illegal nation illegally occupying Indian lands, the Indians have to be SPECIALLY OPPRESSED in order that they no longer have the will to fight back or that their fight might be ineffective against the genocidal oppressor and their continued illegal occupation of indigenous lands and genocide of the folks there of. Part of the way to continue the oppression is to decide who is and isn't Indian and enforce that upon Indians. Indians are not allowed to make a move without U.S. permission.
This case, and so many others like it, play right into the hands of the occupiers and genocidal maniacs currently known as The United States.
REVOLUTION NOW!]

Homeward Bound
We recently found out that our friend, Ridwan Laher, will be leaving Portland, Oregon and heading back to South Africa.
I first met Ridwan via the internet, when he posted a comment about the Spurs Restaurant in South Africa...from South Africa. South Africa? What the hell is someone from South Africa doing reading my blog? I had a hard time believing someone from South Africa, let alone out of the area of Portland was reading my blog.
About a year later, I made a comment about Genocidal Joe, Joe Lieberman, who wants to kill thousands if not millions of Iranians because, well, he won't be pulling the trigger, other folks will be doing it for him, and I get a comment from Ridwan saying he is in town.
Ridwan, Shusli, and I have hit it off pretty well, and Shusli wrote a wonderful honoring to Ridwan on her blog.
I wish Ridwan was staying, but I understand why he is going home. Our conversations last night were about being indigenous and made me think of how strongly Shusli and I have been discussing getting back to the land because there is no separation between us and the land, let alone us and anything else.
So, Ridwan, Bra, I'm sure we'll all get together again. Until then...

Hang On Tight! I Think We're Gonna Crash!

I've been worried about the economy since, well, pretty much since the WTC buildings fell. Remember the small businesses that went under? But, somehow, the illusion was maintained and things came back.
Now we are in the middle of a housing loan crisis and CitiBank was recently bailed out by Abu Dabi and it stands now that 30,000 to 47,000 jobs will be lost soon because of this.
The dollar and stock market have been on downward turns but have only returned due to oil speculation and the bail out of CitiBank.
Mike Ruppert, author of "Crossing the Rubicon," has stated the Wall Street runs on drug money. He also asserts that the actual value, as of five or six years ago when I heard him lecture, was around 40% of what it is claimed to be.
Add that in with two illegal wars that have cost $1.6 trillion. Now, little of that has REALLY been paid. It is actually being fought on credit. So there is a whole lot of empty money that undoubtedly has some sort of effect on the economy.
Add in an attempt at a third illegal war with Iran, now mind you, this administrations ATTEMPT has cost a lot of money and I seriously doubt they will just back out of this investment in war.
Venezuela has threatened to cut off oil should the U.S. start an illegal war with Iran, which will skyrocket the price of gas. Castro has told Chavez to expect an attempt at a U.S. assassination of him, probably in an effort to curtail the cutting off of oil when the U.S. starts it's illegal war with Iran.
The reality on the ground is the U.S. economy is starting to falter. I don't think there will ever be any real recovery. What does that mean to all of us here at or near the bottom, as it were? That is why I have invited Jim Craven to discuss the economy on "Mitakuye Oyasin." He is the only economist I know of that will be HONEST!
