How the Frog Became Green

Froggy used to have beautiful purple skin. He used to parade down the streets showing off his beautiful purple skin to the people.

One day a woman was painting furniture in her yard. As Froggy was walking by, he felt a little tired so he sat on a curb upon an empty plastic bag for a rest. The woman liked froggy and decided to play a practical joke on the little fella. She walked over and spray painted him green.

This caught froggy by surprise, but he liked the feeling and the smell of being spray painted green. And when the woman was done, he was proud of his new green skin color. Since he was a special frog with special powers, he turned all of the frog people green so they too could enjoy their new color.

Then the humans jumped on the frog people and RIPPED off their skin. They stamped the faces of genocidal white men on them and gave these skins special powers. These skins could be traded for stuffs, and humans forgot how to collect their food and make their clothing and build their houses and what community looked like. They used the frog skins to have power over other human beings, over other life forms, they tried to take everything for the power of the frog skins. Humans had forgotten how to be humans and decided that the power of the frog skin gave humans the power of gods.

Soon, there weren't so many frogs. Folks who didn't believe in the power of the frog skins were destroyed or assimilated by those that did. There became many humans who had forgotten how to live without the green frog skins. Non-humans were sucked up by the humans who believed in the power of the green frog skin with the genocidal white mens faces on them.

Since there weren't so many frogs, there weren't so many frog skins. Since there weren't so many frogs, there weren't so many frog songs.

The leader of all the frogs was an old grandma frog. She was saddened that all of her children, her grandchildren, and her great grandchildren were disappearing. She was told that it was the humans stealing her children and taking their skins and putting the faces of dead genocidal white men on them. That the humans gave these skins special powers which they believed made humans more special than all other life forms and often many other humans. She was told that humans believed that the skins of her frog people with the dead genocidal white mens faces on them gave them the power of gods.

Grandma Frog became terribly sad and terribly ANGRY! at the behavior of the human folk. She shook the earth and smoke billowed from beneath the waters. What was left of her frog people sang a song of power and she gathered the energy of all the frog skins, all her frog people, and took it back from the humans who so terribly abused them, terribly abused other humans, terribly abused all other life forms for their lust for more of the green frog skins with dead genocidal white mens faces on them.

The humans suffered to learn they no longer had the power of the green frog skin with dead genocidal white mens faces on them. The humans grieved to know they no longer had the power of gods in their own hands using the power they gave the green frog skins with dead genocidal white mens faces stamped on them. The humans grieved at the destruction they caused the earth and all of its life forms in order to pray to the power of the green frog skins with dead genocidal white mens faces stamped on them. The humans remembered that not only is their power valid, but so are the powers of all other life forms. The humans learned that they are not gods, but humans on this earth related to all other life forms, none above or below the other, but joined together to create this world in which so many life forms live. Humans remembered who they are and their place in the world. Humans learned to keep their own power. Humans learned to love life again.
