I Love late night radio on KBOO, especially since I start my work so damned early.
Yesterday when I got in my truck, I tuned into my favorite radio station to hear an interview with Neil Young. It was a recording of a Terry Gross interview from 2003. I don't recall ever hearing Neil speak before. He sounds a lot different talking than singing. But what amazed me was his humanness.
I was tickled when he explained that he can't tune his guitar. This man who has been playing music for what, 40 years, has a hard time tuning his guitar. He can play the thing, but tuning has always been too distracting to him.
I think it is safe to say that millions of people listen to this mans music, and this wonderful, simple, talented, human being does something with his fame. He tries to raise awareness of humanity.
Thank you Neil, for being a Human Being.
I dedicate this to Shusli. We recently shared a sweet moment that will never leave my heart and soul to this, my favorite Neil Young song.
I Like the following Neil Young song, as well, but for some reason, it won't let me mix it onto this post. So, there you go.
