The Story of How Our Newest Family Member Came to Join Our Household: In a Roundabout Way, of Course

Our cat, Yeti, passed away a couple of months ago.
Folks still walk by and look for him,
so Shusli put up this memorial poster.

When we were burying Yeti in the backyard,
a squirrel came running by with two nuts hanging from his mouth,
one from each side.
Shusli has made the comment that he was bringing Yeti back is nuts.
I believe this to be the guy that did so.
I took this picture as he was hanging out in the tree in our back yard.

While walking to breakfast this morning,
we saw this sign which obviously made a mistake of the obvious.

On the way back,
we saw a pile of cats on the roof of a car.
We later made the appropriate sexist remarks,
but damn,
this sure was a cute happenin'.

Shusli made friends with a kitty whose human has passed on.
His name is Jake.
He is our newest companion,
acquired today.
He is shown her,
dusting the floor beneath our entertainment center.

Which brings us to that all important question,
"How do you eat a Reese's Peanut Butter cup.

Needless to say,
we know this little creature will be none too happy.
But then again,
when is she happy?
