This is Jim Lockhart. Jim started the cable access television show, "Native Nations," some 12 years ago. He was the host for several years until he found Skip Mahawk. When Skip passed on, Spider Moccasin took over. When Spider Moved On, I was the next in line, as it were. Jim still produces the show and has much great footage of Indigenous events around the states. He has been a long time supporter of indigenous issues. He gets to stay. He won't be deported...HAHAHAHAHAHA!
This is Kelli Labonte. Hopefully she won't force me to take her picture off of my blog. She, too, has worked on the "Native Nations" show since the beginning, unlike me. I've only been there for four years or so. She is a long time supporter of indigenous issues and well as Indians in general. Often she has informed me of things going on that I had no idea about. She, too, gets to stay...HAHAHAHAHA!
These two are Ellie and Mike. They have been operating the camera's since I can remember for the show "Native Nations." I often hear of stories of how they helped out the folks. They also inform me of issues, ideas, and events going on around town, indgenous and otherwise. They help out much in their communities as well as on this show. They too, get to stay...HAHAHAHAHA.
I somehow screwed up on "Pepsi" Paul's picture, so I'll just tell you about him. I think Paul is actually Indian, but to be honest I forget. If he isn't, the man should just simply be considered one. Paul has been in the thick of it since at least the AIM days. I have heard stories of the BIA takeover here in Portland where he was a paricipant. Where he did filming with all the action going on at Big Mountain. Paul has done so much for Indians that if he is not one, he should be considered Indian. I apologize, Paul, for not remembering if you are Indian or not. I also apolgoize for fucking up your photo, too.
This is Lisa Loving. Lisa has not only demonstrated support for indigenous folks and our issues, she has done so for the blacks of this community as well. Lisa, former PM news director at KBOO, has also informed me of many issues happening in Indian Country long before I became aware of them. Not only does Lisa get to stay, but her whole family as well, everyone that looks like her, and even everyone named Lisa!...HAHAHAHAHAHA!
Ani Haines, (see "Happy Birthday, Ani!" for photo) is also a long time indigenous supporter as well as one helluva community supporter and activist.
One person, very important, that I must mention, is Maire Cullen. Maire is Irish from South Armagh in Northern Ireland. The Irish are not only considered the blacks of Europe, but Indians consider them the Indians of Europe as well. We Indians have a lot in common with many folks. The Irish have been fighting the same struggle we Indians have been, but for about 300 years longer. Maire displays a lot of that fight, as well as her husband, Donovan Gilmore. An awesome duet of supreme strugglers who also WANT IT ALL BACK!
Although I never met this man and could not find a photo of him on the internet, Ron "Doc" Rosen is more than worthy of mention and although he had no Lakota blood, let alone any Indian blood (whitey's definiton), this white man was adopted by the Lakota and therefore...ALL LAKOTA! He was a medic at Wounded Knee in '73, and passed away a few days ago.
There are so many more worth mentioning, but how much space and time should I take?
