Hang 'em High

I found this link to Indian Country Today's article about a mural in the Idaho "makeshift capitol" (whatever that means) building Ada County Courthouse. There will be a friendly interpretive thingy majobby in the lobby describing in nice friendly terms what exactly is happening to the red nigger. Maybe it will say something like, "Two good ole boy immigrants from Jena, Louisiana having a good ole time with our redskinned brethren." Or maybe this, "How we treat uppity red niggers in Idaho." The mural, along with some 60+ others in the building, were commissioned as part of the FDR era new deal stuff giving some artists jobs instead of leaving them starving. The one who painted this should have been left starving. However, they will be putting up, like I said, user friendly statements about what is happening in the mural. Allegedly, but not known for sure, these good ole boys are hanging the Indian for attacking immigrants in a wagon train. Put a black hood on his head, some electrodes, and some good ole American traditions never change.
