"[We're] So Tired..."

As you may know, or at least understand, Shusli and I are both DOG TIRED!

Which, of course, made me think of Madeline Kahn singing "I'm so tired" in Blazing Saddles.

For the last several months, a huge amount of our energy, ESPECIALLY Shusli's, went into our marriage ceremony and culminated in our reception which took place yesterday. Photos will eventually follow, probably in a week or so, on my photos blog.

Shusli and I were both so tired. Her feet were painfully sore and have been for the last several days. I got hives for the end of it all.

The reception went well. It started Saturday night with the cleaning of Liberty Hall. Sunday morning Shusli and I did a bunch of set up. Early in the afternoon some folks showed up to take the tables. That's right! I don't know what the miscommunication was and where it happened, but as I stayed pretty much calm through the whole process of wedding planning and etc., this one little issue SET ME THE FUCK OFF! Of course, I did not let them take the tables we were using. Don't know what happened, don't care, it's all over with now.

I was seriously impressed with the turnout, about 50 people came and went throughout the four hours of our celebration. It was really really good! We danced some which was really fun!

First person to show was Lisa Hughes. Our friend Heidi lead a few folk dances (many heard the word "dance", and there was suddenly an exodus). Rhonda's grandma, mom, one of her brothers showed. The highlight however was when Maire and Donovan showed up dressed to the nines (did I say that right?).

A good time was had by all. I wish to thank all the folks who showed to help us celebrate the beginning of our lives together, and to all those who were unable to make it who gave us support in one form or another.

We ended the evening by me rubbing Shusli's feet and...which I almost fell asleep on the couch while doing. Shusli stayed up all night talking with Rachel...Oh...THANK YOU RACHEL FOR ALL OF YOUR HELP! They talked all night, and now I dragged my ass out of bed to write to all of you folks, eat breakfast, and drag my tired ass off to work to drive a huge machine at 55mph down the street. Feeling safe? It's OK, really, I've done this so much and occasionally get to take naps. I'm really good at my job.

...oh...And thank you Felicia for your help.

SHUSLI! I LOVE YOU BEYOND ALL COMPARISON! YOU ARE MUCH MORE THAN I HAD EVER IMAGINED IN A LOVER-LOVE! I LOOK FORWARD TO OUR LIFETIME TOGETHER AND BEYOND!
